Want to know how to wear all-black as a curvy girl? We’ve got some amazing tips from you thanks to Ghanaian TV personality, Peace Hyde.
Here at ZUMI, we love Peace Hyde. Her “wear it like you mean it” style makes us want to squeal with excitement. She’s curvy, sexy, smart, talented and has a sense of humour we can definitely roll with. There’s little to no wonder why we stalk her Instagram page.
Now, we know dressing a curvy body can be a bit tricky. You want to look your best and feel your best too, so you’re always looking for style tips. So today, we decided to bring you some inspiration from one of our favourite curvy girls, Peace Hyde.
Taking cues from her signature style, we will be letting you in on how to wear all-black. Check it out!
Make it sexy
If there’s one thing Peace knows its how to dress her curves. She wears black on figure hugging peek-a-boo pieces that leave you wanting to see more. One of our favourite looks of hers is this black mesh panel top paired with black skinny jeans.
It’s sexy sultry and frames her body perfectly.
A golden rule for wearing all-black is to mix textures. Although wearing all-black in the same texture is great and all, it’s so much better when the textures are different. It gives your looks a depth and edge that shows you know what you’re doing.
See how Peace does hers below. We love how she paired this see-through wrap top with a leather skirt. It’s fun, chic and well put together.
Keep it simple with a matching set
Sometimes simple is best. When you don’t know how to properly match 2 separates, opt for a matching set. It is simple, will definitely work (emphasis on definitely) and effortless.
Peace shows us exactly how its done with this matching kimono set that works perfectly for a work day.
Add a wow factor
What can we say, it’s black and needs a “wow” factor. This can go a number of ways from jewelry to other accessories like scarves or embellished inner tops. Peace chose the latter. She rocked an embellished mesh top inside a black blazer paired with black pants. It really catches the eye.
Add some accents
Just because its all-black doesn’t mean you have to look like the undertaker. Have some fun with accents. Here, Peace does just that by pairing her black top with black pants with white pin stripes. The pants have a slimming effect because the stripes are vertical and everything looks fabulous!
Now you can rock all-black with the confidence of the “Bleck Penther!” Lol! And if white is more your thing, check out how you can rock all-white here. Don’t forget to share your styling tips with us. We’d love to hear them.
