Just in time for NYFW (New York Fashion Week) Zashadu, Kenneth Ize and Shekudo will debut new collections at the annual fashion event.
To coincide with NYFW, the three young Nigerian designers were handpicked in a newly launched initiative by ProtoChic tagged ‘West Africa To The West’. The designers will present today September 6th from 6:00pm.
The initiative was launched to focus on the artisanal heritage and creative confidence known with West Africa designers.
PhotoChic partnered with NURU; a cultural producer for a visual installation and a film focused on the creative process behind each handcrafted artisanal design; “African brands are meeting the challenge with unparalleled talent that appeals to a discerning shopper across the globe. The evening will conclude with a concept shop, featuring our curated assortment of the very best of ready-to-wear, accessories, and footwear from West Africa” ProtoChic shares via a release on their website.
