Without a doubt, the Heineken Lagos Fashion Week was a huge success! From one stunning showcase to another each designer had a strong statement to make through their collections. We absolutely loved the street style looks, the runway accessories, the lounge area to list a few.
From the last day showcase, Maki Oh, Eki Orleans, Nkwo, Mai Atafo, Orange Culture, Elie Kuame among other talented designers presented mind-blowing collections and we totally loved it! There were lots of print trend especially the traditional tie-dye/’Adire’ (its local name), bold colour combinations and gender fluid choices.
Take a look at 5 trends we spotted at the just concluded LFW. Keep scrolling!
Power suits don’t have to be the boring plain suit with buttons. This time, the suits are more colourful, structured and very fashion-forward.
Designers displayed their love for this ’50s trend with a more futuristic approach. Architectural fascinators, fascinators made with sheer fabrics definitely grabbed attention on the runway.
Flirty athleisure style
If you are big on street style, this should interest you. Athleisure trend will shift from track pants to fits with sexy cut-outs and slits.
This will definitely be a huge trend! It’s flirty yet classy and perfect outfit idea for formal events.
Gender fluid choices
This is quite simple. Ladies will look more comfortable in men’s clothing; big shirts, over-sized suits pants etc.
