Naomi Campbell turned up the heat at the CFDA (Council Of Fashion Designers Of America) Awards in red but the look wasn’t just a killer, it was iconic.
Naomi Campbell was not only headliner for the awards, she won the fashion icon award in a fringe pompom piece from Calvin Klein Spring 2018 designed by Raf Simons himself; the brand’s chief creative officer. The look was iconic for the prestigious awards held at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom because for the first time since 1993 Raf Simons won the award for womenswear, incidentally the last person to win that was Calvin Klein himself!
For the prestigious awards honouring American designers and shaping the fashion industry it’s no mean feat and for an iconic supermodel who won the fashion icon awards for the night to give the brand a seal of approval on one of world fashion’s biggest night that’s a mighty big deal. Vogue’s Edward Enninful also walked away with an award.
The Style details
Easily one of the best dressed for the night, the supermodel scored the fringed out look featuring a sultry shimmery ombre fringe overlay and a sexy mesh insert underlay. She paired the look with glossy red heels and diamonds from Tiffany & Co complete with fishbone straight hair let down in a slick centre part.
It took the fabulous supermodel a while to be recognized as a CFDA icon but when it was time, she showed up! What do you think of her look for the night, we definitely think it was iconic.
