President Emmanuel Macron saw Mai Atafo and Ituen Basi showcase a specially curated collection last night at the ‘Afrikan Shrine’.
Emmanuel Macron, The president of France is currently in Nigeria and he was hosted by Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode last night (Tuesday 3rd July 2018) to celebrate the African culture with ‘A taste of Nigerian fashion’ themed show.
The fashion show curated by Jane Michael-Ekanem was hosted by Banky W and Keturah King with top Nigerian celebrities in attendance. True to the theme, the show embodied everything African.

The collection blended a mix of African aesthetics presented in modern styles by the top Nigerian designers who showcased both menswear and womenswear pieces. Aso-Oke, Batik/Tie & Dye, Ankara patchwork on dresses, laces and more accented the different looks presented for the night.
President Macron in the end highlighted how much he loves Africa when he introduced his agenda for a cultural project in 2020 where Africans will get a chance to tell their stories to the world!
