Peter Okoye Bags His First Solo Award Since P-Square Split

Peter Okoye Of Psquare Bags His First Solo Award Since The Group Split Up
Last year P-Square comprising of Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye broke up and both artistes are now solo and doing their own thing individually.

Peter and Paul Okoye, chose the stage names Mr P and Rudeboy respectively as they went their separate ways in 2017. Going by the reasons they gave for the split  at the time, this did not seem like a good decision. However, their solo careers show that the Okoyes have slowly carved a niche for themselves as individual artists which is great.

Over the weekend, Mr P won the 2018 International Achievement Recognition Awards (IARA) for Best International Male Artist in the ceremony held at the Canary Wharf, London. Although he couldn’t make the awards ceremony, he shared the great news on Instagram with the caption:

”Yes Guys we did it! We won!!! My very first award as a solo act! You guys made this happen. INTERNATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT RECOGNITION AWARDS. Slow and steady, but surely! God is great. To @iarawards my profound thanks, I was hoping to be in London but as you’re aware, I’m in the middle of my US/Canadian Tour at the moment! I will be by to pick up my award personally.”

Mr P was nominated alongside former One Direction singer, Louis Tomlinson, Michael Daapah aka Mansnothot, Ihab Amir and George Ezra. This award is a very big deal. He has released songs including Cool It Down, For My Head and My Way.

Peter is doing amazing! But if you are like us and are still missing P-Square as a group, here are a few P-Square jams to remind you of the old days.
