Starboy Wizkid once again puts Nigeria on the map as October 6 is declared Wizkid Day in Minnesota.
The Nigerian pop superstar Wizkid has been recently honoured in Minnesota, United States. A special day was marked out by the Governor of Minnesota, Governor Mark Dayton to honour Wizkid and his contribution to music worldwide. He declared October 6 as Wizkid Day. He’s the first African artist to have a day named after him in the state. Not only that, the only other artist with that privilege is Beyonce! T
This has been aligned with his several achievements in music and culture. Some of the achievements include making a Billboard number one hit ‘One Dance’ with Drake, selling out the O2 Arena London, walking the runway with Dolce and Gabbana and recently becoming the first African artist to sell out the Skyway Theatre Minneapolis. These are major moves coming from this Ojuelegba boy. He deserves all the accolades!
