My version of Ukwa Onions call the police oo lol… Food is all about taste and creativity. Don't mind my Ankara blinds I made them myself so wack ?? I added 2 maggi and a pinch of sea salt. Fresh and dry pepper also added extra crayfish COOKING INSTRUCTIONS :Put the thoroughly washed ukwa in a sizeable pot. I used a pressure pot in the video below because it cooks the ukwa much faster.Pour enough water to cover the ukwa. The level of water should be about 1 inch above the level of the ukwa.Add the edible potash. Add the dry fish or stock fish, cover the pot and cook till well done. The ukwa is done when the seeds melt when pressed. You may need to top up the water while cooking so watch it closely. If using a pressure pot, top ups will not be necessary.Add enough palm oil to the well done ukwa, add pepper, stock cubes and salt to taste.Stir. Cover and cook on medium heat till the LITTLE palm oil changes colour from red to yellow. This should take about 5 minutes. AND IT'S READY

Right from the Big Brother Naija days, she was open about her mother’s dementia and stroke but that did not prepare her and her brothers when her mother was diagnosed with cancer four months ago.

We can only imagine the emotional struggles they went through while the treatment lasted. At last, she beat cancer.

Sharing the inspiring story on her Instagram page, she wrote:

“Look at God.. I found out she had Cancer 4 months ago she would wake me up every night screaming in pain.

The night before her Coloncospy she screamed all night the pain.. The Day of the Cancer scan… I Saw the tumour live and direct .. I went “Numb” called my brothers we all cried.. because she was already weak from the stroke and Dementia..My little brother had already set his mind on saying his Good byes.

All the Doctors in the UK didn’t think she would make it. The Day I wheeled mum in to the operating Room I was sooo scared I just held her and prayed I spoke In tongues the Doctors must of thought I was crazy.I just want Thank God.”

Family is everything and we are just happy our girl, Uriel has the support to care for her mum while she hustles. We wish her mum speedy recovery.

Meanwhile,  Toyin Lawani spilled major tea on Miracle and Nina that you don’t want to meet.
