It’s not every time we get to see celebrity siblings take over the entertainment industry. However, many celebrities have shown how much immense talent can come from one family.
For a while now, a group of celebrity siblings has gradually made their mark in the music and film industry. For this list, we’ll be showcasing successful Nigerian celebrities and their equally talented siblings. However, we won’t be adding P Square and Mamuzee because they belong to another list of celebrity twist.
1. Dakore and Timini Egbuson
When Dakore hit the Nollywood industry in the early 2000s, we didn’t know she had an equally talented younger brother. While his sister is obviously a Nollywood powerhouse, Timini has consistently held his own and displayed his acting chops in movies and series including MTV Shuga and Skinny Girl In Transit.
2. Teni The Entertainer and Niniola
Despite having distinct musical styles, these two sisters are talented AF and have accolades to back them up. For instance, Niniola bagged a BET award nomination for her impressive debut album while Teniola penned Davido’s acclaimed Like Dat. They’re also supportive of each other’s music and we can’t wait to see them soar even higher.
3. D’Prince and DonJazzy
Although D’Prince has been silent for a while, we can’t deny his musical impact as a signee to his brother’s music labels. As for Donjazzy, not only did he create the iconic Mohits records, he went on to launch the successful Mavins Records. He is not only a renowned producer but also one of the most influential names in the Nigerian music industry.
4. The Afolayan Siblings
Moji, Gabriel, Kunle and Aremu Afolayan are one of the most iconic celebrity siblings in the Nigerian film industry. While Moji and Aremu stick to the Yoruba side of the industry, Kunle and Gabriel switch to mainstream Nollywood every now and then.
