Last year, Beyonce made history as the first Black woman to ever headline the annual Coachella Festival. Her performance during the festival was nothing short of iconic, as she paid homage to Black Culture, and even featured a Fela song on her set.
Being the generous queen that she is, Beyoncé is bringing an exclusive documentary titled, Homecoming, to Netflix this month. With the first trailer out, we get an insight into the meticulous planning and hard work that happened behind-the-scenes of her historic performance.
Against a narration by Maya Angelou, we see Beyoncé at work, coordinating the singers and dancers, as well as her thorough workout regime. Homecoming will also feature intimate moments with her husband, Jay-Z, the twins and Blue Ivy dancing to “Crazy In Love”. Considering how detailed Queen B is, we’re pretty excited to see this film, especially since she curated the documentary herself.
Homecoming will premiere on Netflix on April 17. Until then, watch the trailer below:
